The The Ukrainian House of Photography is an NGO that supports both established and emerging photographers through exhibitions, education programs, and curated cultural events. It aims to strengthen photography as an art form while positioning Ukrainian visual culture in global dialogue.

Challenge

The challenge was to create a strong contemporary identity that reflects photography as both artistic expression and documentation. The system needed to feel bold enough for exhibitions and cultural programming while standing apart from traditional photography institutions through a more modern and energetic visual language.

Identity

The logo combines the Cyrillic letter “Ф” — the first letter of photography in Ukrainian — with the form of a camera lens, symbolizing focus, framing, perspective, and unity. The visual language reinterprets film burn effects through bold gradients that express creative energy and contemporary art. Paired with all-caps Aeonik typography, the identity balances authority and experimentation, positioning photography as both documentation and resistance.
