Strichka — Independent Music Festival

Strichka — Independent Music Festival

About

Strichka (Ukrainian for ribbon) is an independent music festival named after the historic Ribbon Weaving Factory — the industrial space where the event originally took place. The festival merges electronic music, cultural heritage, and independent creative expression, creating a space where authenticity meets contemporary digital culture.

Challenge

The challenge was to reimagine the festival’s identity while preserving its cultural roots. The system needed to balance industrial heritage with contemporary electronic aesthetics and communicate Strichka’s return to authenticity in an increasingly digital world.

Identity

The identity is built around the idea of where the authentic meets the electronic. The brand’s iconic flower was transformed into a pixelated symbol, representing the intersection of tradition and digital culture. Wavy, ribbon-inspired typography and graphic elements reference both the festival’s name and the continuous movement of music, creating a flexible visual system that feels free, independent, and deeply rooted in truth.
